Samirah Muzaffar, along with two teens, was accused of murdering her husband, Nazrin Hassan, the CEO of the Cradle Fund, four years ago. The three suspects are suspected of murdering Nazrin on June 14, 2018, in a residence in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor, and then setting fire to the house to hide their tracks. Each of them, on the other hand, submitted a not guilty plea. Although it was initially thought that he died as a consequence of a cell phone-triggered explosion, a second autopsy performed four months later found that he died as a result of a strike to the head.

According to reports, the bedroom door was locked from the outside, giving the impression that someone intentionally tried to lock him within. Besides, the body of the Cradle’s CEO also had a lack of regularity in the burn patterns while pyrotechnics bags were also present in the room. Reports confirm that Samirah Muzaffar and two teenagers have been acquitted in the charge of murdering Nazrin Hassan in 2019. It is coming forward that high court judge Ab Karim Ab Rahman said the prosecution could not prove a prima facie case against 47-year-old Samirah and two teenagers who are now 16 and 19.

Apart from the trio, an Indonesian woman, Eka Wahyu Lestari was also charged on March 12, 2019. For those unversed, Nazrin Hassan was murdered at his house residence in Mutiara Damansara between 11:30 PM on June 13, 2018, and 4 AM the next day. He was 45 years old at the time of his death.
